Shingals is calm, collected, and seems to never shout or get really worked up about anything. It's rare for him to be concerned and when he is, something is up. He tries his best to do his work properly and he's a bit vague and cryptic in his words. He's intelligent and doesn't pick up on sarcasm or snarky comments as much as he should. Despite this fact, he can be quite the deadpan snarker depending on who he talks to. Surprisingly, he doesn't seem to care too much if he doesn't complete the job which might irritate some. He prefers to live in the present and not worry about the past. However, he can easily become concerned of what lies ahead of him. He's calculating and knows his way around mysteries to the point he can easily jump to theories. His creativity, however can be considered "lacking." While he may be able to think out of the box, it doesn't really extend off too far which can be his downside. He sometimes needs someone to point out the obvious for him. He tends to overestimate other's abilities at first and can be pretty careless in this regard. He's not the most loyal man out there, but he is firm with his morals and ideas. That isn't to say he won't keep promises. In fact, he might even take those too seriously to the point he won't drop one even if it puts him into danger. He is a strange mix of formal and casual. He puts up a very business-like manner but to those who are actually professionals he will be able to easily let out a laid-back and unserious tone. He prefers to focus on the smaller details rather than the big ones for some strange reason. He's slow-paced and tranquil (typically) but that doesn't mean he isn't fearsome or won't get the job done eventually. If he's got his eyes set on something, he will make sure he'll see to it or he'd rather die. Metaphorically speaking, of course. He can easily be suspicious of others but he will let things off typically with a suspension of disbelief.

In the topic of relationships, both romantic and platonic he tends to be cold and awkward at first. He'll show his compassion through small things like visiting them frequently or by being much more of a pushover around them. Snickering and banter is also another good sign. He can end up doing a lot of things just for another person surprisingly, it's getting to that point is the difficulty. He can strangely be judgmental of what may be the most insignificant detail such as a person buying strawberries from a lower-class market thus being susceptible to having their coat or such be drenched in the sauce that seeps out from the fruit.

He happens to be fine without luxuries in life which can come off as entirely odd to many and he is perfectly fine with being a vagabond.

William Shingals was born into the world as an upper-class citizen what with his family's wealth. He grew up attending a private school where he met a girl who'd be very vital to his life. This girl went by the name of Ciara Clover. She was a very up-beat and optimistic girl who eventually would be engraved into his life as a "childhood friend." She ended up veering him away from his ideals of plutocracy and more onto a world where justice was always the prevailing party and those who were innocent were always acquitted. This put him into the field of criminal investigations and law later on while she had went on to own an antique cranny he'd frequently visit. However, he would never be able to do either of which set him on the course ironically unless he'd had a partner to set him out seeing as he did not become a defense attorney but rather a measly cop. He later along in his career ran into a runaway kid who had looked up to him greatly despite his flaws and insistently followed him. Shingals thought not much of the boy until during one case the kid proved himself to be a loyal and highly intelligent child rather than just a rowdy brat. Accepting this, he became a sort of unofficial guardian to him and the two moved from there to abandon their city and move on to another one to start anew.

They seeked advice from Clover and she reluctantly directed them towards Luna Delle Rosa with only directions and such. She made sure to keep an offer up to them which he would keep in mind later. The two headed towards the village and as time grew on Shingals became employed in a manner that may count as a "miracle." It wasn't until recently that he acquired an actual home to support him and his companion/partner.

- Gavin "Deuces"

He serves as the unofficial guardian of Deuces, a kid who ran away from home. The two work as a fantastic duo most of the time but Shingals can work solo if need be and prefers to unless he knows he'll need the young boy. The two banter off each other and they have a pretty healthy (though maybe not at a glance) relationship all in all.

- He wears a fedora whenever he works as a way to show he's "more serious" in a way.
- This character is seriously based off the number "one" though that's more of a fun fact than anything.

I work with chats and skype primarily though if one would wish so I could try another way to roleplay depending on what it is.
